Captain Z-Ro and Jet are in their spaceship, the ZX-99, when they detect a meteor heading towards Earth. They try to destroy it with their ray guns but fail. They then decide to land on the meteor and plant an atomic bomb on it, hoping to blow it up before it reaches Earth.
