On Posita, Rocky has given up hope of fixing the Orbit Jet without help from Bavaro. He sends Vena to plead with Cotanda for his help. Rocky promises Bavaro that he will seek a peace accord with Negato if Bavaro allows him to fly to the other moon. Bavaro is doubtful but agrees. Meanwhile, Cleolanta has learned of Rocky's disappearance and is poised to use recorded transmissions of his voice to serve her dictatorial plans.
